Sixteenth Street Community Health Center has worked with government and non-profit partners over the past several years to create an action plan for restoration of the river.  River clean up efforts have attracted local as well as national media attention.

A Vision for the Kinnickinnic River Trail Corridor  This 27 page document describes the October 2006 charrette that generated designs for development of a trail along the KK River.  It provides background information about the river and watershed as well as a summary of related projects that can help to restore the river.

America's Most Endangered Rivers of 2007  This is the April 2007 press release from American Rivers, a national environmental advocacy group naming Milwaukee's Kinnickinnc River as one of the ten most at-risk rivers in the United States.
