In January 2010, Sixteenth Street received accreditation by The Joint Commission. Accreditation by The Joint Commission assures that an organization's level of performance meets stringent standards for patient safety and high quality care. It is assumed that if an organization does the right things and does them well, there is a strong likelihood that its patients will experience good outcomes. In calendar year 2009, Sixteenth Street saw nearly30,000 patients in total, at more than 150,000 individual appointments. These patients were 86% Hispanic, 8% White, 2% Asian, 3% African American and 1% unreported or other. 65% reported incomes below 100% of the federal poverty level and nearly 30% had no health insurance. Sixty-five percent were best served in a language other than English. Click on a link below to view past Annual Reports.
