Since the opening of the Parkway Health Center in April of 2006, more than 5,000 new patients have been welcomed into care at Sixteenth Street. In calendar year 2006, Sixteenth Street saw more than 18,000 patients in total, at nearly 107,000 individual appointments. These patients were 82% Hispanic, 10% White, 3% Asian, 3% African American and 2% unreported or other. 60% reported incomes below 100% of the federal poverty level and nearly 30% had no health insurance.
